I hit a problem recently in VMware Workstation (v11) where I couldn’t connect a USB storage device to my VM, as it claimed that “The connection for the USB device x  was unsuccessful - The host is currently using the device …”.  I knew that there weren’t any application or OS process accessing it, so thought it may be the USB pen drive itself. VMware Fusion 6.0.2 Update Released

VMware Fusion 6.0.2 Update Released

VMware have just released a maintenance update (6.0.2) for their Mac based Fusion product.  Although a minor update it does address a number of bug fixes to the recently released Fusion 6.x virtualization product.  If you are running Fusion 6.x then the next time you start it up you should receive a notification window that the 6.0.2 update is available and that your installation can be updated.  One item of note is that Fusion 6.0.2 now provides "Easy Install" support for the final GA versions … [Read more...]

FIX: Poor VM Performance & Errors with VMware Workstation 7.1.3 after applying Microsoft Windows 7 SP1
