With my faithful Apple MacPro finally giving up the ghost after 5 years of good service, it was time to go back out to market again for a new personal laptop. I certainly get my moneys-worth out of the laptops I own, and since I only buy a laptop every 3-5 years I wanted to make sure I chose the right one for me.
I like the Apple MacBook range of laptops, though this time I was after something a little different. A laptop that I could use for both work and pleasure. I now have an occasional spare 10-20 minutes during the evening, when Baby TechHead is going down to sleep, where I can get in some casual gaming, so this had me looking in the direction of a Windows based gaming laptop.
After a lot of research and consideration of what I was after in a new laptop, I decided on an MSI GS60 2QE Ghost Pro gaming laptop. I like the slim form factor, and the more than ample CPU and GPU horsepower under the hood for playing any games I throw at it, along with its sufficient versatility for any creative work I perform on it.
I thought I’d create a quick video of the unboxing of my new laptop, first impressions and my thought process behind selecting the MSI GS60 2QE.
