MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!!!
You may have noticed a lack of postings over the last week or so. This is due to a pre-Christmas rush to finish of all my outstanding items at work, buying Christmas presents, pack a suitcase and get myself on a plane to New Zealand to visit family and friends for the Christmas and New Year period. Time this month has just flown by!
This will most likely be my last post for the year as I have a pretty busy family and friends Christmas/New Years schedule happening over the next few weeks or so. Though don’t forget to keep checking back as things will keep happening on the forums.
I have a couple of ESX technical articles roughly drafted that I had hoped to have finished off and posted during December though unfortunately this wasn’t to be due to, as mentioned a rather hectic work schedule. Apologies to those of you that I had promised additional information on the ML110/ML115’s, ie: video of server startup, power consumption stats – I haven’t forgotten you and will be posting this early in the New Year.
I would like to thank all of you that have visited TechHead.co.uk over the past year, in particular those of you that have participated in discussions relating to the various articles – all of which many others have greatly benefited from. Also a special shout-out to the TechHead regulars that frequently reply to the comments of the different articles and draw my attention to any ‘Hot Deals’. A Big Ole THANKYOU to you all !!!!
I’m motivated as ever to continue writing my various technical articles and other ramblings throughout this coming year. I have plenty of ideas for interesting (at least I find them interesting, lol) articles though, as always, welcome any ideas or suggestions on what you’d find useful or interesting.
One question I would appreciate feedback on is the value of having a forum on the site. Is this a preferred mechanism/vehicle for communicating with myself and others (ie: asking questions to problems or ideas, suggestions, deals on the web, etc) or are the replies under each of the postings a better idea? I’m kind of thinking that maybe a combination of both as is currently the case – though the forum does offer the advantage of being a more centralised location.
Whilst on the topic of the new TechHead forum I appreciate that it is still looking rather, how shall I put it? Bland and ‘out of the box’. Once I get back to the UK I will be adding customised topic icons, groovy avatars for subscribed users(any preference of theme? Let me know) and a TechHead look and feel to the banner, etc. Watch this space!
I hope you all have a Great and Relaxing Christmas and All the Best for 2009!
