And what self respecting conference coverage would be complete without mentioning the all important ‘Conference Goodie Bag’?
This year VMware have opted for a backpack which for me personally is a preferred option due to the sheer weight of the random IT bits and pieces I usually carry around with me. Its black and bright green colour means that you won’t get lost in a crowd ever again – unless you’re in a crowd with 12,000 other people with the same bag.
The backpack actually feels of a decent construction with lots of useful pockets (eeek, I feel like I doing coverage of a 17th Century tea pot on antiques road show). :) I’m pretty hard on my bags so hopefully this one lasts longer than my VMworld Europe bag that lasted about 4 weeks.
In the bag you get the usually sponsor flyers, a branded VMworld pen, a’”hello freedom” t-shirt that hopefully won’t self explode when washed like the one from VMworld Europe and a drink bottle/flask with VMworld logo.
The program guide is in an A4 size and contains all the usual information (times, rooms, etc) that you’d expect to find.
