With VMworld San Francisco 2012 just around the corner, this means that the heart pounding, ball stinging, nail biting action of the annual charity v0dgeball tournament is ready to hit the streets of San Francisco! There are apparently still spaces for you to submit a team, so it’s not too late.
All entry and admission fees from this v0dgeball event goes to the Wounded Warrior Project, so this is definitely a great event and cause to get behind. For more details on either submitting your own team or attending v0dgeball click here and/or contact my friend and colleague Fred Nix: +1404-669-6665 or @NixFred
FWIW, that image was actually taken by me, Julia Weatherby. Glad to see you credit your source, even though that source did not credit me. 🙂 (Original image here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/weathershenker/4958146823/in/photostream/ )
I do plan on going to v0dgeball again this year and I’ll bring my camera, too!
Be sure to check out the epic video of the 2010 match (which I contributed to, but did not do the excellent editing) 3rd video on this page: http://virtualgeek.typepad.com/virtual_geek/2010/09/vmworld-2010-v0dgeball-the-epic-2010-battle-.html
Hi Julia,
Thanks for letting me know about the original source of the photo, I can’t leave it crediting the wrong person (where I found the photo) so have updated the image. 🙂
Hope to meet you at the V0dgeball – don’t forget you camera!
Cheers,
Simon
